The historic apartments of Miami, Florida are on the market for as much as $7 million.
Miami-Dade’s Historic Miami District, a nonprofit organization, is selling the five-bedroom, four-bathroom apartment complex at 1680 Broadway in the South Beach district.
It was built in 1888 and was used for a variety of purposes including as a movie theater, an art gallery, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
In recent years, the building has been renovated to include a restaurant and other commercial uses.
A previous owner of the building had planned to turn it into a condominium complex, but in 2016, the condo company sold the property to a real estate company for $2.5 million.
“There’s so much history here that you can’t miss,” said Andrea McQueen, a spokeswoman for Historic Miami.
“It’s very much a part of the community.”
Historic Miami has been selling its properties for years.
“We’re in the midst of selling out,” said McQueen.
“They are very rare and very valuable.”
“We are just going to sell them,” she said.
“The properties are all vacant, and it’s not worth the money.”
The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The apartment building is located in the historic South Beach neighborhood of Miami.
“It’s a wonderful addition to the neighborhood and the building itself,” said Joe DeSantis, president of Historic Miami, adding that the building is “quite attractive.”
The owners of the property have been interested in redeveloping the property for some time.
In November, the city of Miami issued a request for proposals for a development of the area.
The building was built by George Mitchell, who also built the Miami Beach Tower.
Mitchell died in 1968.
In March, Miami Beach city officials voted to demolish the tower and build a new tower on the property.
The demolition would start in 2020 and finish in 2023.
